December 19, 200322 yr I just bought a copy of FS2004 and I really like the taxiway signs. Is there any way I can import these into 2002 so I can see them there also? Some of my planes can only be used in 2002.Or are there any freeware programs out there that have the taxiway signs for all the airports?
December 19, 200322 yr No, you cannot import FS2004 scenery files into FS2002. The files are formatted differently and would not work properly. Search the avsim and flightsim libraries for taxiway signs for various airports. Some were made by taxiwaysigns.com , which is a restricted site.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
December 19, 200322 yr I don't remember a freeware program with taxiway signs for FS2002. I do remember adding the taxiway signs to specific airports as they became available in the avsim and flightsim libraries. Here are 12 pages of signs for specific 2002 airports from the avsim library.http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...s2002&Go=Search This might fix you up for the main airports you fly into. >shrug
March 19, 200422 yr There are a couple of API's at flightsim.com for creating your own taxi signs. TAXISGNS.ZIP (and an update for it) works well for me. The other one (sorry, I'm at work and don't have the file name) makes nice signs, but with the enhanced night-lighting I use it exhibits a red corona in the daytime. If you don't use enhanced night lighting in FS2002, this one would probably work for you too.
March 19, 200422 yr Just wandering why if you own FS9 you would want to still fly in 2002? Not saying its a bad thing just wandering?
