ASE Minimised

Featured Replies

Hi Folks. A couple of days ago i had everything working fine, but today ASE does not want to run as a window on the desktop. It seems to be running minimised, but i cannot restore it. I have tried various different suggestions from this forum such as uninstall, reinstall, delete the 2 main directories etc. But nothing resolves the problem. ASX, ASA and XGraphics all work fine. I am running Windows 7, and have upgraded from ASA to ASE. I also have ASE SP2 installed. Any ideas or suggestions welcome. Regards.

Hi Folks. Ok, I found a mention on this forum that the windows position is held in the registry, so I took a look. I found that ASE WindowsPosX was set to 3190, and therefore outside of my view. So I set it to the same as WindowsPosY (83 decimal), and now the window is back. I have no clue why PosX became set to 3190. Just for the record I have 3 x 19" screens, running from 2 x GPU's. My middle screen (screen 2) is set to be the windows default. I notice some pretty wacky screen positions when i move the window to screen 1 (left) and 3 (right), and not sure if something goes wrong there, but the wacky values are huge something like 9 or 10 numbers in length. Anyway I am sorted now. Regards.

Hi, You can also start ASE and if you right mouse click on the ASE icon running on the Taskbar, there should be an option to reset the ASE position.
