Doors

Featured Replies

I feel a little bad starting this thread with how busy staff is now with much higher priorities but anyway.. I am having real trouble opening door 1L, I can usually open all the doors no problem with the CDU except 1L, it has only worked once but when I closed it, it wouldn't open again. I just changed a few aircraft (checking out liveries) and now none of the doors open (I am sure a FSX restart will fix that but it doesn't work for 1L). Any ideas? (tried with 737-800WL Qantas (new and old) and Virginblue) Oh and while I am at it I might aswell repost this livery manager problem I am having here "My problem is the livery installer installs the first livery fine but every after it erases the entry to the aircraft.cfg file. So it installs all the files but doesn't list them in the CFG. I had to spend quite a while manually entering the info in the CFG just to get them to show in FSX. If I attempt to install another with the installed (not backing up the CFG then editing) it will wipe the CFG clean again." Otherwise it is all looking great :) *EDIT* Oh great my bad, seems it was because I was in the cold and dark panel state, after a while nothing would open, didn't realise the aircraft need power to open doors

Ok so I did some checking and it is pressurisation that is causing the door issue. When I first load the cold and dark I see the cabin climb dial is off the roof (climb), as I switch on bat and stby power I see the the outflow valve is closed or closing and the cabin pressure is rising quickly which causes the doors to plug shut. To remedy it I can either wait for the auto system to get with it and reopen the outflow valve or I can set it to manual and open it manually. After it is open I switch back to auto (don't want a Helios repeat) and it lights up "Auto fail", it gets over that though while I and going through preflight. The weird and stupid part is there should be nothing pressurising the cabin, I have nothing connected and I suspect it is some sort of weather deal when the plane is initializing. For the moment I created a cold and dark panel state with the door open already, or I go through that process everytime.
