August 5, 201114 yr I am currently flying HKG-KHH with 40% of fuel, now at FL280 with 29% left and still climbing. However, I noticed that my climb rate was very very slow, at just around 700-800fpm or at most 900fpm. Is something wrong here? I would have thought that the NGX will climb pretty fast at a lower weight, like an A320. My gross weight currently is 63800kg, if that helps. Regards, Daniel Tay
August 5, 201114 yr Doesn't sound too strange actually. What's the climb speed (using ECON/MAX RATE/MAX ANGLE?) and the cost index? If your GW is 63.8 with 29% of fuel, you must have some passengers/cargo as well right? Peter Bosch FO Boeing 737NG
August 5, 201114 yr Author I can't provide the ECON/MAX RATE/MAX ANGLE currently as I have just entered the cruising phase. I use cost index 100. Passengers I have 145/160 from FsPassengers. Regards, Daniel Tay
August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Daniel,What are you using for weather? Stuff like this is usually the result of unrealistically high temps and things like that up at altitude. Weather apps are notorious for doing this in certain parts of the FS world. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
