Should I upgrade to fs2004??

Featured Replies

Hi, I have currently fs2002 do you think that for the money fs2004 is better than fs2002 and do you think its worth the money?? Thanks, Andy

Yes to both questions.Go ahead and upgrade - you won't be sorry.I still have FS2002 on the PC but I haven't used it in the past 10 weeks and then it was only for comparison with FS2004..Dave

Yes Andy, you should go for FS9 because it is a lot better than FS2002. Maybe I'm the best person that can tell you that because my computer, except for the cpu, is a mid-low end pc. Lots of time we read on this and other forums about frame rate obtained from people that can spend about 500 $ only for a video board, which is almost what I spent for my entire computer!Anyway, I have Athlon 2000 mhz, 512 mb ram PC2700 and an obsolet Abit siluro T400 GEforce2. It is true that I don't move all the set up sliders to the max, but with a fairly detailed sight I can get 20 to 25 fps. Usually though I use FS9 to learn IFR procedures and set the visibility to the one requested on the approach chart (i.e., 1200 meters visibility). This way I can use the aircrafts at the maximum fps. But whatever you are using it for, I think it is definitely worth the change and the money you're going to spend.Hope this helps and bests for the holidaysMichael, Italy
