August 6, 201114 yr Hello again, A slightly annoying thing I have noticed is that the fuel temperature gauge on the overhead panel is currently at 10, and has been so for a couple of hours where the temperature outside the aircraft is -28C. I would of thought by now it would be at least -15C. I have checked with 2 other NGX users and their gauge reads the same as mine! Cheers, Tim Tim Mitchell FSLabs Beta Tester / Support
August 6, 201114 yr Hello.I'm by no way any expert on the 73NG but a few things comes to mind regarding fuel temp.Firstly the temp readings are from main tank no.1, the one in the left wing according to FCOM.I don't know how much fuel you have in your wing tank but I'm currently flying and have been cruising for 3 hours with TAT -30C and the engines still feeds of my center tank so my wing tanks have 3,9 tones of fuel each.Cooling down that much of fuel I guess must take time and then the skin friction on the wing counter acts the cool down of the fuel. My temp gauge reads 0C at the moment. As fuel decreases in tank no.1 it cools down quicker to the outside temperature. As an amateur I believe the temp gauge reading is correct (at least for me).Best RegardsStefan Hillblom Regards Stefan Hillblom
August 6, 201114 yr Author Ahh ok that makes sense. I took off from BFI with full fuel and still got 70%. I'll see what happens in a couple of hours. I have to admit I am more use to other add-ons where the temp drops a lot quicker Cheers Tim Tim Mitchell FSLabs Beta Tester / Support
