August 7, 201114 yr Hi Guys As most now know, I'm completely new to this CPU. Have NOT used any 'offset' VID is showing INCORRECTLY. BIOS set to 1.45v Would appriacuiate any feedback on this please. Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
August 7, 201114 yr Author Thanks Dario It seems stable at 5ghz but, to be 100% honest, I don't see much difference between 4.8 and 5, so will probably knock it down. Almost knowbody seems to post their voltages. I'd be interested to see what others are using at 48 & 50? August 7, 201114 yr Author 1.36V for 4.8GHz here That's what you've entered in the BIOS, not what's showing in Windows software - yes? August 7, 201114 yr That's what you've entered in the BIOS, not what's showing in Windows software - yes? No, no, that's full load Vcore in Windows. I use offset so I don't even know what would that be in BIOS
August 7, 201114 yr Author OMG!!! I've just found the CORRECT Sandybridge maximum safe voltages and see what you mean. I was certain the max range was 1.52 Sure I got that from an Intel site somewhere, but guess i'm wrong. No wonder I didn't understand your comment Thanks, could have got into real trouble there!!!
