i still am unable to activate the ngx i get the error cannot connect to the activation server. but i dont think the problem is on PMDG's side. i am unable to download real world weather and my flightsim news feed wont work. but everything with my internet connection is fine! any ideas?

Check your firewall.

ive turned the microsoft windows firewall off and logged into my router and shut that one off :(

It is very strange because from your first post it would appear everything FS related can't connect. However, you say your internet is fine. Also do you have any third party security software?

microsoft security essentials and i run malwarebytes anti malware.
