NGX graphics issues associated with accessing FSX menus

Featured Replies

I am experiencing a consistent problem with NGX when I access an FSX menu. The screen shot below that was taken just after takeoff from KSFO illustrates what happened after I accessed the FSX Options/Controls menu (to adjust joystick sensitivity settings): This screen shot was taken after I regained control of the screen. Until then, the display was mix of flashing black, flashing clouds, etc. In Star Trek parlance, it appeared like I was in a wormhole. After cycling view options and the "W" key 2D panel options, the problem cleared up. However, the 3D VC was not viewable. Most of the 3D VC views were visible when "s" key was pressed (cycle views). On the 3D VD overhead display, some artifacts were visible such as knobs, etc, but the panel bit map and guages were not visible.. Also, after this event some of the FSX features like the FSX ATC window as not viewable with the "`" key command. On approach into KMRY (RNAV Z 28L), breaking out of the clouds, I noticed that the runway was not visible as shown in this screen shot: I have seen this occur on other occasions as well, again usually after accessing an FSX menu. System: i7 2600k 3.4 GHz - stock system - no overclocking.8 GB RAMASUS P8Z68GTX 460 - Driver 275.33Win 7 64 bit Running ASE at the time. Here are the settings: 2D frame rates before the drop were between 40 and 50. 3D VC frame rates were between 20 & 30. Following items are in the FSX.CFG file: HIMEMFIX = 1TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD = 4096 Any thoughts as to what might be happening? Thanks, Rich BollWichita KS
