- FSX/Gamespy multiplayer server UDP event flooding (we think it's fixed)
Thank you. This is very much appreciated. No doubt you have your own testing methods, but you are always welcome to try out your fixed 737 on the FSMP MP FSX server ( FSMP on Gamespy ). The server will tell you within 2 minutes, with an Audio message, , if the fixed 737 is still flooding "spoiler events" after you have applied full Airbrakes. Note: The UDP flooding "Counter", that floods an incrementing count, about 44 times a second, is NOT being included in the FSMP flood detection warning, as this is only flooding the server, and since this incrementing count is not passed on to other players, it is not such an issue to other players in the session. It is easily identified when looking at UDP packets, and hopefully you have managed to identify and stop this UDP flooding as well. ============== While you are testing in any FSX Multiplayer environment of your choice, you might like to check out the issue with TEXT CHAT. Unless you have already corrected this, you will find that when typing in the CHAT BOX, that many Alpha keys are not reaching the chat window. ie "G".Typically, when typing in MP Chat, ALL keystrokes should be sent to the Chat window, and none should be acted upon by the aircraft.ie Typing "good day" should not recognise the "g" and operate the landing gear. Thank you for your continual support of the FSX Multiplayers pilots (and Controllers) Geoff

Also in name of the HippyHappyGermany community; Thank you very much PMDG for investigating your time on a fix of the multiplayer flooding issue. - FSX/Gamespy multiplayer server UDP event flooding (we think it's fixed)
That's some great news!
Alpha keys are not reaching the chat window. ie "G".
That could be fixed by; 1. Start your NGX and go to your FMC 2. Start up your PMDG setup page 3. Go to Options 4. Select Keys 5. Click Center/FWD panel 6. Click on GearLever UP/Down and change the letter or number 7. Press Execute! 'Z' fix: Follow steps 1-4 5. Click Autoflight 6. Click on CMD A and change the command 7. Press Execute.
Martinair50 Unassigning the keys is probably not the best solution, or even one that is really practical. Quite a few keys that are affected, and you really want those keys to do their normal PMDG 737 functions, when you are NOT trying to type in the Multiplayer Chat window. A better solution would be not in intercept the keyboard input, when in the Multiplayer Chat text input window. Simple enough to do, now the issue has been highlighted, so maybe the thing to do is to just wait patiently, and let PMDG get to it, as and when they see fit. Unlike the crippling UDP flooding issue, one can still function in Multiplayer with the keyboard issue, its just places a limitation on what you can type. ie Airports Codes you can enter into flight plans etc !!!
