August 11, 201114 yr Can I exclude certain areas from my own elevation mesh? The reason I ask is, because default airports tend to lay on sockets when using real world elevation data. Some distance away from the airport there is usually not much difference between the default mesh and my own mesh. So the idea would be to exclude the area of and around the airport from my elevation mesh. Then the sockets would be gone without modifying the default airports. Unfortunately I still haven't found a way to do this. Is it possible? --------------------------- Blue Skies, Gottfried www.blueskyscenery.com
August 11, 201114 yr Gottfried, I'm not quite clear exactly what you are trying to do.You can exclude the Airport Bounds Flatten Polys. You can compile your mesh in the Airport Area with null value mesh data. You also could re-do the Airport with a real world modeled Sloping Runway as the best solution. Wally-Bob
