Loading saved flight causes autopilot misbehavior

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals, I have on a number of occations now (all of them) experienced a heavy pitch up response from the autopilotwhen loading a saved flight. That is after the 20 sec initialization the airplane pitches hard nose up, inbig jerks at a time, sending me into the sky and airspeed dropping rapidly. I have to assumemanual control, stabilize the plane, and re-engage the A/P using SPEED mode and ALT HLD / V/S.If I select VNAV the same occurs again. When plane is stable in correct speed and altI can re-engage VNAV. Anyone else with this problem, and any suggestion for solution? Geir, Norway

This happened to me yesterday, but I was not using vnav. eventually it held the set altitude. very strange.Carlos Pena.
