Moving to FSX

Featured Replies

Hi there! I'm currently still rigged on FS9. My specs are AMD X3 3.3ghz dual core, 4gig DDRR3 X2, and a ATI radeon HD 5670. I'm interested in the new PMDG 737 Ngx. So do you reckon i would be having difficulties with FSX, or would it run pretty smooth?

Hi, You would need to over clock your CPU or run FSX with the sliders turned down.

Difficulties? Yes! Pretty smooth? NO! Keywords FYI: i7 [email protected] Ghz, 8 Gb 1600/1800/2000 low lat. Ram, Nvidia 580 GPU, 750 W PSU, SSD/Raptor/WDC 1 Tb 6 Gbs, 64 Mb Cache. You get my point?

+1 on PFL. However even overclocking that system isn't going to give you anything pretty with the NGX. It's just too darned detailed

Which the details can be turned down to better match the computer it is being used on.

That is true. But why remove all that beautiful detail if you don't have to? Hahaha

Not everyone has that money but if you do you'd go with the 2500k unless you like to o your FS vids which I attempted to do and failed.sad.png
