FS2004 clouds with no Textures

Featured Replies

Hi,this is my first post altought I read this forum since four years ago.I have a problem with the visualizations of clouds in FS9. From a certain altitude on (13000/14000 ft), the colour of the clouds becomes all light blue. Same thing applies for the airports and building textures seen from above. I attached some screenshots so you can better understand. I replaced the cloud textures with the more frame rate friendly ones of FSW.My system: P4 2.4GHz - Motherboard ASUS P4PE - ASUS GeForce4 128 MB V8420S - 768 MB RAMI made a search on the archives but with no succes.I appreciate if someone can explain me what kind of problem i'm having.

Try Cris Willis's clouds. You can find them here: http://fsw.simflight.com/Install the friendly 32bit version and see if this fixes your texture problem. You are correct, those are ugly looking clouds. Hope these new clouds will take care of your problems.Bob Johnson

What time of day was it in FS? During dawn/dusk it is possible for cloud to look like that in FS. IMO #2 and 3 look pretty good.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
