ASE License question.

Featured Replies

Hi there. I have ASE installed on both my computer and my wifes machine, i first installed it on mine but was having some performance issues so i decided to try the networked setup which was suprisingly easy. Sadly i cant always use my wifes machine to run ASE as she sometimes take it with her (its a laptop)So when i switch to my computers installed ASE or vise versa from mine to the one on my wifes laptop, it asks to activate the key again, which doesnt seem to be a problem because it goes through and activates just fine, but i want to make sure i dont screw anything up and suddenly it wont activate. So is it ok to keep doing this, and will ASE just keep working so long as im only trying to use one iteration of it at any one time? Hope that makes sense. Thanks

Hi, The ASE license is for one computer only. Yes, you can make a few installations to different locations to test things out, but then a final decision needs to be made and one install needs to be removed. Yes, you will run out of activations soon if you don't; a quick e-mail to me can fix things but that final decision will need to be made. If you have almost any old computer around, it will probably be good enough for ASE if you wanted to network the two.

Ok glad i asked. It seems to run much better networked... or is that just my imagination?Wondering because it would be worth it for me to throw together some of the older pc parts i have lying around. Thanks for the quick response

Hi, It can because it is sharing resources with FS. Yes, all I use is a old case, MB. memory, video card and HD along with an old CRT Monitor. It's cool to have all of ASE on one screen.
