Hi again everyone,In an effort to spare the FSFrance guys from being swamped, there is an obvious problem with this bird relating to the smokesystem and engine effects. I have posted on their English speaking forum and it is currently being looked into. However, they do seem to have a few headaches at present in relation to their server's operation so we should all endeavour to be patient.Assuming my deductions are correct, here's the substance of my post:******************************************************************* Hi Pierre, I think I see what has happened. It looks like the wrong entries have appeared in the aircraft.cfg file. The files below are those in my Flight Simulator 9Effects folder following the installation of the fs9 version of PM2 Concorde: x = does not appear in aircraft.cfg cm_conc_cabin_light.fx .........x Panel install fx_cm_conc_4flame.fx .........x Base install fx_cm_conc_4smoke.fx .........x Base fx_cm_conc_burner.fx .........x Base fx_cm_conc_smoke.fx .........x Base fx_cm_conc_tip_vort.fx .........x Base fx_cm_conc_wing_vort.fx .........x Base fx_conc2_4flame.fx .........x Panel install fx_conc2_burner.fx .........x Panel fx_conc2_smoke.fx .........x Panel fx_conc2_tip_vort.fx .........x Panel fx_conc2_wing_vort.fx .........x Panel fx_Conc_beaconb.fx ......... Base install fx_Conc_beaconh.fx ......... Base fx_Conc_strobe.fx ......... Base fx_Conc_strobeh.fx ......... Base fx_concburner1.fx ....? carried over from FS2002 PM2 installation The following entry is in the PM2-Concorde-Fs9aircraft.cfg file. These lines also match the last 10 lines of the FS2002 PM2 installation.[sMOKESYSTEM] smoke.0=-3,-92.00,20.00,fx_concsmoke .......not in effects folder smoke.1=-3,-92.00,15.20,fx_concsmoke smoke.2=-3,-92.00,-15.20,fx_concsmoke smoke.3=-3,-92.00,-20.00,fx_concsmoke smoke.4=-26,-67.00,20.00,fx_concburner1 .......in effects folder smoke.5=-26,-67.00,15.30,fx_concburner1 smoke.6=-26,-67.00,-15.30,fx_concburner1 smoke.7=-26,-67.00,-20.00,fx_concburner1 smoke.8=-26,-90.00,-5.00,Conc_burn_2 .......in effects folder smoke.9=-26,-90.00,5.00,Conc_burn_2 So, it would appear that the correct entries referring to the installed files in the Flight Simulator 9 Effects folder have been omitted. Presumably those files referred to in the [sMOKESYSTEM] section are working in FS9 and may explain the light winking/flashing effect I see affecting the engine flames and illuminating the tail and VC at <1second intervals. I note if I throttle back to just above idle the flashing stops. These files (fx_concburner1, Conc_burn_2) are present in my Effects folder. I imagine this is only because I placed them there as part of the FS2002 PM2 Concorde import into FS9 and they have not yet been deleted. Hope all this helps. In summary, I think all that is needed is an updated aircraft.cfg file. I assume this exists already, but was not included in the BASE INSTALLATION - easy mistake to make, I know. Best regards, Mike *******************************************************************Mike :-wave
