Hi, You gave everything 1 minute and 30 seconds before you closed FSX. They need to run 5-6 minutes. In FSX is the weather theme set to User Defined? Does ASE recognize your location in FSX? Is Lock to Closest On in ASE on the Report Screen? Please let us know.

no it is not set too user defined, and where do i look to see if ase is set to fsx location? and no it will not click the box at for the lock on map. and i have let ase run fpor a whole flight and it never comes on. thanks

Hi, OK, uninstall ASE, then manually delete the 2 ASE folders left behind. One is in your install path and the other is in your Application Data folder. That is a hidden folder so that option to show hidden folders must be On in Windows. Then re-install ASE.

ok i did all you said and still no weather or click on map, anything else? nvm jim it started working when i started fsx from ase. so do i have to start fsx from ase from now on just to get it to work?

Hi, No, this still doesn't show that ASE recognizes that FSX is running. Start all programs from their own icons. You are not right mouse clicking on anything and running As Administrator are you? Also, please update your ASE to B647 from our website.

yes i am right clicking and running As Administrator, still no luck no matter what way i start it. just updated to b647 still no weather. ok i think i found the problem, i deleted the all the addons in the dll.xml file and ase works just fine, i think it's the pmdg 747 addon giving the problem. so now when i try to run a addon aircraft it says missing dll just great.

Hi, No, there is no need to do that right click stuff, because now you need to do that with all your add-ons and FSX itself. Just start everything normally from its own icon.

hello jimthanks i think it is the pmdg products on here like i said when i delete all the addon entrys ase works, but then i can't start fs commander or rcv4 or air hualer off of my network. but when i put the dll.xml back in place i can run my network and everthing but not ase or pmdg. what a shame this addon stuff is starting to be more then what it's worth. but thanks for all your help.james
