ILS approaches and RNAV approaches are different things. For an ILS approach you will get lateral and vertical guidance displayed below and to the left of the artificial horizon respectively (I'm guessing this is what you mean by heading or altitude bugs?). You will not get this from an RNAV approach, as it is a non precision approach.
