January 7, 200422 yr Never been able to use reverse thrust in FS9. The buckets only come out when I hold down the F2 Key and seem to keep trying to close. Also the aircraft does not slow down. I'm sure there is an explanation for this - but I'm new to big jets - usually fly small props or the MAAM B25 (truly excellent aircraft)Anyone give me a steer? ThanksKFD
January 7, 200422 yr hi just wondering what you use for a throttle...generally if the buckets are not staying out..but sort of opening and closing,it means that your throttle is not calibrated so that it shuts off your thrust properly..you need to calibrate your throttle, and when it asks you to pull it to the bottom only take it 2/3rds of the way down.that way when you do pull your throttle back it will go further than it does at the moment...sorry for being a bit long winded but its quite hard to explain ...any problems let me know best wishes steve
January 7, 200422 yr Check under assignments where the key is assigned and max out the repetition rate slider.
January 7, 200422 yr If you have the registered version of FSUIPC, you can use it to calibrate your throttle for a thrust reverser region of the throttle travel. Coincidentally I just did this today, and it works great for both jet thrust reversers and prop pitch reversers (e.g. on the KingAir).Dave Blevins System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
January 7, 200422 yr Thanks guys for replying. I calibrated my throttle the standard way allowing for some slack at the bottom end and now, for the first time, I get reverse thrust (first time I've seen the buckets stay open or the cowles slide and stay back). I do have a registered version of FSUIPC so I'll calibrate the throttle properly in that to make doubly sure. Thanks again,Kev D
