Hi Captain Dan, Rather enigmatic description. at what point do you turn A/T off? on approach or after landing? search for 'idle thrust' on this forum, there are a few threads about this topic. basically, idle thrust on approach is producing more power than on the ground. this is normal. i know that because i learnt it on this forum ... yippie.
