January 9, 200422 yr Dear All,I have searched this forum and the tips forum and cannot find any information on using dual monitors with FS9, maybe I am not using the correct combination of wording or something ??Anyrate - I have just received a second monitor and Graphics card (Geforce MX400 AGP) from a friend, and was wondering what software etc. I would require in order to link this with FS9 and have say the FMS and radio stack showing on the 2nd monitor? and what I need to do in order to get this to work ?I also fly online frequently and it would be handy to have SB on a separate monitor too (If this is possible) ?using FS9 and PMDG 737Appreciate your comments !!Kind RegardsPHIL
January 9, 200422 yr PhilIt depends upon what operating system you have. WE98se is a walk in the park. XP is a whole different story.if you mention which system you have, perhaps someone can help you.Clay
January 9, 200422 yr Hi, Phil.In addition to what Clay mentioned, more information may be necessary.1-Is your system capable of running an additional AGP, since you have an integrated Mobo, / Video on board? You may need to disable the on board Video? You should be able to find that in your manual, or someone here with the same system may help?2-If you have an ATI 9200 that is not built in, it
January 9, 200422 yr Just oner thing to add to the above- when in "Video>Properties>Settings>Advanced" you should make sure that you select one monitor to be the Primary- for most people this choice would be the right hand one. This one will then display all your Icons etc while the other will just have whatever wallpaper you use. It's very useful with 2 monitors - I run Servinfo etc on the second as well as the FS bits and pieces such as GPS etc..Dave
January 10, 200422 yr HelloGood question for the video card expert forum... I'm looking to span the entire front view over 2 monitors. Do you know a videocard, which can do the 2048 (or higher) x 756 (or higher)resolutions in one go. This doesn't appear to be an option on my Geforce4600. Quadro drivers look like they have it... Could anybody shed some light on this please? Thanks a rgdsJaap
January 11, 200422 yr JaapI've tried this and got about 2 FPS, same result as using 2 FS9 views on two monitors with one computer. What you need are two networked computers with FS9 installed on both (although there may be a utility that allows just a single installation of FS9). You can also display radio stack, GPS, throttle quadrant and much more on second monitor with one computer and it works fine, but you probably know this already.David
