September 4, 201114 yr My computer is custom built all the parts picked by me. And I believe that may be the issue. These two things have been happening. This computer is new (maybe two months old as well as all the components) 1) My computer makes a loud click (just one click) everytime I press the power button and every time I shut it down. (Defective HDD?) 2) Occasionally when I turn on the computer, everything is powered up all the lights come on, then it pauses and everything goes dark, and then back on (in a matter of a few seconds) ~Spencer HoeferMOBO: Gigabye Aorus z590 elite | CPU: Intel i9-10900k | RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS 32GB DDR4 3200 |GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080Ti 11GB| OS: Windows 10

September 4, 201114 yr Author Ya it passed the test. So Maybe nothing is wrong. Maybe its not the HDD. ~Spencer HoeferMOBO: Gigabye Aorus z590 elite | CPU: Intel i9-10900k | RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS 32GB DDR4 3200 |GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080Ti 11GB| OS: Windows 10
September 4, 201114 yr Mine clicks too. September 4, 201114 yr Author Okay. But what about the delayed startup issue. Is it a surge from the PSU?I have a 750w that should be enough. ~Spencer HoeferMOBO: Gigabye Aorus z590 elite | CPU: Intel i9-10900k | RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS 32GB DDR4 3200 |GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080Ti 11GB| OS: Windows 10

September 4, 201114 yr maybe once every two weeks or so. it just happened yesterday after I restarted the computer. I wouldn't worry too much then. I sometimes have that happen to me too and I've tried everything (or at least I think so)It's a Sandy Bridge or P67 quirk
