AI AC Problems! + time zone discrepencies!

Featured Replies

hi all, i have been experimenting with afcad and custom flight plans, i have changed a couple of airports in the bahamas :) i have been adding military gates to MYAP along with regular general aviation ramps. i have added one tri-motor which flys between MYAP and MYX8 and it works fine, but when i added the flightplan for an f-14 (which is supposed to take off but remain in pattern) instead it takes off, asks for landing permission, flys around until its parallel to the runway then it just keeps going, it doesnt turn to final. any ideas on this one would be greatly appreciated this is the code - AC#2,MC-N01,20%,24Hr,VFR,18:00:00,18:15:00,070,F,02,MYAP,06:00:00,06:15:00,070,F,02,MYAP.Also i have noticed that the time seems to be all over the place, in glasgow for example it says local time at for example 10:00 but gmt 09:00! this holds true for my bahamas 'fields the difference between local and gmt varies by four to six hours! which makes creating the flight plans harder to say the least, thanks for the help. James

Not sure if it will help the problem, but try to replace the VFR flightterm into an IFR, maybe it will be vectored correctly. Could be that the F-14 has some kinda problem figuring out his own way around :D

i'll give that a shot, cheers! its a shame that the ai aircraft dont use flaps, the swing wings would be sweet!

update: as per your advice, i changed the flightplan to ifr, and it worked! well for one of them, the other disappeared after takeoff :(. and when the second tomcat landed it hit the ground about 10 meters from the start of the runway and bounced onto it! no idea whats going on there. cheers, James

lol well im glad some of it helped and at least some came down on ground safely :D

i guess so, its just a shame that as i add more planes - c-130 and the f-15 the frame rate starts to drop drastically. so im currently looking for low detail ones, cheers for the help! James

Hi,I'm not quite sure what you mean by time zone discrepencies. Simply, GMT time is the time in Greenwich, England, without daylight savings time added in. Obviously, local time will vary from GMT more and more as you move further away from England.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

hi, i realise that! but when i was in glasgow the local time differed from the gmt, which as i live nearby is somewhat erroneous, thanks for the help, James
