September 27, 201114 yr As a long-time sim fanatic I was always reticent to join "Vatsim", with it's rigid "get off that runway!!" officious ATC controllers - and I've always thought FSX Multiplayer was a zoo, with kids everywhere beating up runways: either not exactly my style of flying.. well a couple of weeks ago I spotted this in the Avsim Multiplayer forum: http://forum.avsim.n...est-ga-flights/ I read the post and went to take a look... and was immediately spotted and made to feel welcome by Todd aka Zoolander: while chatting, he walked me around the (dozens of) forums, eventually bringing me to the AoA GA site. We talked about the on-going PNW tour flights; the aircraft used; the radio protocols used - or not used! - and I actually did feel very welcome. There's a very pleasant 'atmosphere' about the place, with discussions that start on any subject under the sun, at the drop of a hat - including fsx tweaks! To fly you'll need the FSHost client from - http://www.chocolate...hostclient.html and Teamspeak, from here:- http://www.teamspeak...?page=downloads I don't want to appear long-winded, but - if you've ever thought about flying with a group of great guys (some of whom you already meet on this site) head on over and jump in! The water's a lot warmer than you might expect. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
