Hello all! I need help assigning a USB Numeric keypad for just simple numbers to answer the ATC responses. When I try to use the keypad in FSX, the numbers don't do anything but flutter the screen. The zero button goes to a cockpit screen but nothing else happens. I have looked for a way to assign the buttons to a control and I can do that but I can't find an assignable response for ATC response 1, ATC response 2, etc.... Is there a way to do this?

1. First make sure your USB Keypad works by typing into Notepad, for example.
2. Next assign the keypad keys via the FSX config. There are options for invoking the ATC menu and selecting replies from the menu.
3. Alternatively you could also use FSUIPC4 (recommended!) via the "Key Presses" tab to assign your keypad keys to the ATC Menu.

The function names in FSUIPC are:

1. "ATC" to invoke the ATC Menu, and again
2. "ATC" to toggle the menu off, or perhaps pass a parameter of 1 to invoke the menu and 0 to toggle it off (I don't recall).
3. "ATC_MENU_0" to "ATC_MENU_9" to invoke ATC Menu options 1 to 9.

Hey Jahman,Got FSUIPC4 installed now how do I use it and now my trackir5 and saitek radio don't work, now what? I am sorry I am such a newbie at this!

1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling TrackIR 5.
2. For the radio, use SPAD.
3. See the FSUIPC v. 4.70 User Guide (p. 35) for how to assign keys.
