September 30, 201114 yr I have only had a Complete Freeze once since the Day the NGX was released. However I had these little mini freezes where the flight would resume after 2 or 3 seconds and it would happen a couple times during a flight. I also would have CTDs when loading up the NGX but they are all gone now and I am using HotFix 4. Here is what I did. CTD on loading NGX To avoid the CTD when loading up the NGX the solution for me was to unplug my Saitek X52 Pro and Rudder pedals from the USB ports, when loading up the NGX. I do not think this problem is just limited to the X52, X52 Pro because I saw somebody else with GoFlight Modules and USB Hubs who had same problem and this fixed his CTD as well. Once your loaded up at the gate plug your controllers in again. What I found is if you do this sometimes your controllers will not work correctly cause you disconnected them while loading up the NGX thus messing up FSUIPC. To fix this calibrate you controls and also go into FSUIPC and verify your key settings are working on your controllers. I found that just by going into FSUIPC and testing at least one button will get FSUIPC back to normal. Micro Freezes Turn Anti virus off while your flying. Go to My Computer - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services and Stop the Service that is running your Anti virus. Don't forget to turn it back on after your flight! If you are using the registered version of FSUIP and have the Autosave option enabled turn this off. I think people did not notice any major issues with older PMDG planes because it only took a split second to save. With the complexity of the NGX I think it takes longer and is more noticable. Especially if your using an older CPU and a Slow Hard Drive. All of the above helped me get everthing smooth and glitch free. Hope it will help some of you as well. This does not cover inflight CTDs cause I do not have those and not sure what the cause is. It could be your running out of resources or you have not done the uiautomationcore.dll Fix. Paul Deemer
