October 14, 201114 yr So here is one I can't figure out and I'd love some suggestions. I installed a new GTX560 on my machine and since then I can not work my radio's. The numbers won't light up when the avionics are switched on. This is only in the 3D cockpit. When I switch over to the 2D panel the numbers light up fine and I can adjust the radio. Also the key in the ignition does not roatate while in 3D. I can hover my mouse over the key and scoll the wheel and the prop will spin but the key never moves. Everything works, just not visually. Now the light switches move when clicked and the carb heat pops in and out, its just the radio's and ignition thats not working. I am also getting the same results from the 152 as well. Now when I load up defult FSX planes everything works fine. So its just affecting the Carenado planes. I was using the current 280.26 driver and even tried out the beta 285.38 driver. The only other thing I can think to add in is that I am using the nvidia inspector. Jeremiah Windows 7 x64Core i7 960EVGA GTX560 285.38 driverMSI Pro-E motherboardCorsair Dominator DDR3 6 gig Ram
October 15, 201114 yr I remember that a friend of mine was going through the same problem with the same graphics cars that you have, but it wasn't with Carenado aircraft it was with a couple from Eaglesoft I believe. Anyway...The way that he fixed it was going into the Nvidia settings and messing around with each one of the options until things would properly. By the way, there are a lot of other people having issues with the 285.38 driver so the problem may lie with the driver itself...
October 15, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the Reply. I seemed to have stumbled across my own problem. I figured since installing the new card I would run my FSXcfg through Bojote's tweaking and tuning tool again and it shed some light on the situation. At the bottom was the line telling me to adjust my AA settings for my GTX285. Followed by another line telling me to adjust my AA settings for my GTX560. So both cards and their settings were being listed in my FSXcfg and I figured that could be where the conflict is. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed to remove from the CFG regarding the GTX285 and my old CFG had just the GTX285 info so I went ahead and did a complete reinstall. Problem fixed. The radio's are working fine and everything seems back to normal.
