FS2002 sceneries in FS9

Featured Replies

I have been testing some of the FS2002 sceneries. After testing approx 45 sceneries, found that some worked well, some not at all and many were fineexcept for areas around the airport perimeter wherethere were trees and now they appear as rectangularwhite/light grey shape.Does anyone know if this can be fixed? it's a real pity because many of them work fine except for this annoying display. Thanks

Some Sceneries require Gerrish trees. I use both Gerrish trees downloads, the original trees and the autogen replacements. Don't recall the name but search the library for Gerrish. There is very specific instructions on where to put the Trees_0 bglfile and make sure there is only one Trees_0 bgl (check me on the file name)in FS9 and not duplicated in your scenery downloads.I have also experienced the white boards that are supposed to be trees.

Well there probably isn't anything you can do...The orginal authors would have to take the time to fix the problems...In some cases that probably really means redoing it from scratch with GMAX. My bet you aren't going to see a lot of people willing to do that wit their freeware stuff. You'll probably have to be content with the ones you have found that do work. You really shouldn't be to distressed though. There are more and more sceneries being made for FS9 everyday. EDIT...I just read the above post and the poster may be on to something. You might need to install that tree library for some of those sceneries.
