January 30, 200422 yr Some long time ago- back in the heyday of FS2002 I downloaded an F/A-18 model that - I'm almost certain - had a working (ie: movable) tailhook.Unfortunately I can no longer find the zip file - I thought I had saved it on a CD but apparently not.None of the current F/A-18 downloads available in the library for either FS2002 or 2004 seem to have this. The very photogenic fs9fa18c.zip package by K Virtanen for FS2004 certainly has a hook but no apparent way of extending /retracting it.Does anyone remember the FS2002 one that did have this?Or does anyone know how to make it happen on the 2004 aircraft?MTIADave
January 30, 200422 yr If the file says it has a tailhook it probably does. You just need to configure a key to operate it (remember when you did that in FS2002?). Just go into the main menu/assignments and assign an unused key to the tailhook. I use Shift-T.
January 31, 200422 yr The problem is that that does nothing- every other carrier aircraft in my FS9 operates the hook using the assigned key( in my case-"spacebar") but this one won't do it.The aircraft.cfg file has all the correct entries- I ve checked that but still no go.Dave
