January 30, 200422 yr The programmed max TOGA power in the cfg file varies with models. Typically it is in the range of 90% to 95% for many default and add-on jet airliners. I am currently editing a big iron jet and realized that the max AT N1 has a bearing on the max possible cruise speed too. So in this big iron, I've set the max N1 to 97% in order to be able to cruise at up to 97% N1 if it should ever be necessary (normally, it isn't). The thing is that on takeoff, N1 now rises to 101.5% at about 130 knots and then falls back gradually to around 98.5% at Vr and on initial climbout, and rises after that to about 99% until I manage it using the IAS button as I raise flaps. Does this kind of thing ever actually happen in practice or is it an FS glitch ?I appreciate any advice, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
