The P&W's modeled by PMDG are the late model units, as opposed to the Launch model P&W's the fuel burn on the early P&W's were a lot worse than the GE's. However, the PMDG is modeled after McDonnell's PIP package. As a result the P&W's fuel burn is only slightly greater than the GE as a result of the greater thrust rating.
