Why is it there seems to be no kill switch for the Lear? It's disconcerting to not be able to shut down after a satisfying flight.

Press the "Control, Shift, and F1" keys at the same time. This will cut the fuel flow to the engines.Terry

After you press the keys to shut down the engines, you can also shut down the whoe aircraft to a cold, dark, cockpit. Go into your options section, and edit the keyboard commands. Look for Master switch and Avioncis. Edit those or note what they are and memorize them. Afterwards, when you are finished with a flight, you can shut down the engines, and when you're ready to leave the plane, shut down the avionics and finally the master switch. The aircraft will be as secured as you can get it.Open the door and there you have it. As real as FS will let you be!

I use the CH Flightsim Yoke, USB (3 lever). What I do for the Lear is assign the Throttle and Prop levers to the engine one and two throttle axis respectively, and leave the mixture lever set where it is--controls "mixture axis" (fuel flow on/off in this case) for both engines. All in the Axis assignment section in FS9. Works great, and gives me control over each engine power separately.I have assigned "R" as the hotkey for Avionics Master. Also works fine. I think "R" had a default assignment, but not one I would need. Just something to take a look at. HTHPaul

I believe the Lear has a "Battery" switch which will shut down the cockpit too.Terry

You can also assign a key to Lean Mixture and use this to cut off the fuel. I have Page Up assigned to Enrich Mixture and Page Down to Lean Mixture.David

Thanks Guys!! Sorry about the delay in my response, but I was away from my hanger on business for 10 days. All suggestions are great but this does not answer the thrust of my question as to whey MS left this detail off this plane when it is included on so many others. But at least now I know how to get the results I want.Much obliged,
