Back to the old haze following aircraft

Featured Replies

I thought I was over this problem once and for all switching to FSX but no such luck. I have been really struggling trying to get the best weather depiction possible so now I am trying again cloud smoothing with ASE and low and behold I see that haze/fog/cloud low layer following me right under my aircraft! Is this a byproduct of cloud smoothing? I was using standard mode for it provides the best depiction but could not deal with the stuttering and sky flashing during "sim cue count".Anyway to get rid of this following cloud? Also that ugly dilleniation line is back in it in the mountains. This is where the top of the haze has an unrealistic line where it stops. I have not seen this since installing ASE and I have allways has disable haze layer unchecked because of flying in areas with lots of fog. Also, and I see this with the low clouds during normal rendering, I am having this graphics issue where there is allot of flickering around where the edges of the fog or low clouds abutt the sides of the mountains.Anyone know how to get rid of these texture issues? I am using an EVGA GTX460 with the 250 series older driver. I had the latest driver but was having issues with it stopping and restarting. Also since ASE does not provide visibility reduction and smoothing in other than DWC I am using FSUIPC's visibility and most of the time it works good but maybe this is part of my problem.
