November 27, 201114 yr Hi all,I have noticed that hi-res photo-real scenery looks so much better - despite some blockiness- and is razor sharp even at low altitudes ifNO filtering (bilinear/trilinear or anisotopic) has been applied. Reasonable enough, considering that filtering destroys the details of the textures by smoothing them out. On the other hand, the rest of the FSX world (sky, sea, etc) is not visually acceptable without some kind of those graphic filters applied. It's just too blocky. So my question is:Is it possible to selectively disable filtering only for the ground textures while at the same time allow filtering for the rest (sky, water etc)? And one more thing,Can I switch or disable graphic filtering modes on the fly using a direct keystroke, instead of opening the menus, which increases the chance of a crash? Thanks
