  1. Hi x-planer 10-ers, What is the easiest way to edit the elevation points / meshes of the underlying terrain at a certain part of an existing runway? (Without unchecking the 'runways follow terrain contours' option -which won't work in my case anyway-)? I'm using in my v.10 some very nice custom sceneries from v.9 but every now and then you can see mesh anomalies in the middle of a runway (such as terrain surges looking like sea waves). I just want to make the runway usable for aircraft landings and take offs, I don't care about correcting any similar anomalies in the surrounding airport area. Thanks for your help in advance
  2. Thanks GoranM For the forum moderator: Please remove the thread 'User defined customs' which I posted accidentally. So there only remains my question as to whether there is any 'select next or previous custom view' command or one is only able of selecting individual custom views. Thanks again
  3. Hi all, Where are the -per aircraft- user defined views saved in X-plane 10? In which file(s)? I will re-install windows and after that I will have to re-install X-plane 10 but I don't want to loose the numerous custom view definitions I already have created for my X-plane aircrafts. I would also like to ask whether there is a way to directly select the 'next custom view' or 'the preview custom view' rather than only be able to selecting just individual custom views (0, 1, 2, etc) Thank you

  5. Hi all, Simvol.org says that the numerous Fly!1 add-ons / downloads mentioned on their site are available for download at avsim.com As I hard as I tried I could not locate anywhere in the Avsim libraries any of those files. Any ideas where I can get them from? Thanks in advance
  6. Thanks Word Not Allowed,So I take it, it's not worth spending money on a new 4GB V-RAM video card, asI already have a GTX-295 with 2Gb V-Ram.
  7. Hi all,Could you please let me know the following:1. Providing all graphic sliders are all the way to the right (max quality seetings), does increasing the 'LOD_radious' setting in FSX.cfg affect only texture quality/sharpness/resolution in the distance or it also affects mesh complexity (the higher the setting the more the elevation points) in the distance?2. If a PC (32bit) has 4GB RAM but it also has a video card with an extra 4 GB video-ram, can FSX (SP2) take advantage of both, all the main RAM as well as all the VIDEO-RAM available? Thanks
  8. Hi all,I have noticed that hi-res photo-real scenery looks so much better - despite some blockiness- and is razor sharp even at low altitudes ifNO filtering (bilinear/trilinear or anisotopic) has been applied. Reasonable enough, considering that filtering destroys the details of the textures by smoothing them out. On the other hand, the rest of the FSX world (sky, sea, etc) is not visually acceptable without some kind of those graphic filters applied. It's just too blocky. So my question is:Is it possible to selectively disable filtering only for the ground textures while at the same time allow filtering for the rest (sky, water etc)? And one more thing,Can I switch or disable graphic filtering modes on the fly using a direct keystroke, instead of opening the menus, which increases the chance of a crash? Thanks
