"Lite" A380? Freeware or Payware

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I have been hunting around for a decent freeware or payware A380 that is easy on the frames. I used the PA380 along with a separate VC (not sure what the package was) but it was tough on the frames. At EGLL I was getting something around 12 - 15 while in the QW 757 I am around 25 - 30. Are there some good "lite" packages out there for the A380 that include a VC which are FSX specific? I don't really care about systems modeling... just something with a believable VC and a decent external model. I've seen the reviews of the Wilco and Overland models... just a little wary of performance. Thanks!

I think your Project Airbus is currently the only contender I'm afraid. You could try optimizing the textures as a last resort to try and get back some FPS.

Can't do much better than the Overland model with Pablo Diaz's vc textures. Performance is great.Cheers

If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.

Thanks guys, I think I'll mess with the PA one some more but if that doesn't work I'll jump for the Overland. Has anyone done the PA merge with the Thomas Ruth A340 VC? Failing getting performance with the current VC I'm using I might just go that route if it is pretty smooth.
