That's sad news.... The 328 jet, plus the newer jets, looked quite nice. I've flown on the 328 propjet, and certainly enjoyed the flight and the aircraft....I wonder how many 328 jets made it into production, if any?

Several were delivered, but not enough to save the company.

I think what broke their back was when Hainan Airways (China) refused to take delivery of a larger number of 328JETs they ordered for political reasons :-( ...Truly sad...their 728 looked extremely promising...now we'll probably never even see the prototype take wing...

Hi there,I very much looked forward to the 728/928JET, and hopedthat the Russian bid would keep at least those two projects together but it looks very bleak indeed.(The Russians seem only interested in 728)I suppose Boeing backed away early, and Airbus nevereven considered a move.Rest in peace, Fairchild Dornier. It was a great ride.-Niels Christiansen
