February 7, 200422 yr I happened to come upon this following combination of plane, panel, sound, and dynamics with which I've been having tremendous fun: It's the Opensky CRJ-200 in the United Express Livery (I've flown the actual bird from my home airport of KABE to Chicago), the new FS Dynamics Config and Air files (to make it Fs2004 compatible), and the Replacement CRJ panel (by Mark Leegard...a compilation of other panels and gauges). I also use the Eaglesoft Beechjet 400 sounds instead of the default Lear sounds. With this combination the simmer is rewarded with an excellent regional jet, a very friendly panel with A RUNWAY INFO gauge, wonderful manners from the new config and air files, a great virtual cockpit with superb wing views. This is now my default startup plane, and because I also use Russell Dirk's FSFORCE with my MSFF2 joystick, I've finally found a combination that really works for me....and the way I like to fly. I enjoy short hops of 60 to 250 miles, real weather, and great spot and cockpit views. This baby hits the various ILS-equipped airports perfectly and rides the glidepaths quite accurately, as well.Wonder if anyone else has tried this plane and configured it to your own likes? Stan
February 7, 200422 yr Hi Stan,Gotta agree. It's one of my favorites too. I've got mine pretty much configured like yours only I've modified the panel bitmap a little, and I'm using an A-10 sound set from Mike Hambly. Might not be the exact engine type, but I really like the way they sound. I only have one gripe about the new air files, and that is it seems to make taxying a real chore.Cheers,Todd
February 7, 200422 yr Todd,I don't seem to find taxiing a chore. I wonder why! Plane seems to move where I want her, but I do keep "goosing" the engine, backing off, and turning. It probably could be easier, but I don't seem to find it too difficult. There's a new CRJ coming out soon that's payware. I wonder how much better it could be than what I've configured here. I think this Opensky jet with all the other pieces looks and flies pretty fine. We'll see. I just love this regional jet. Stan
February 7, 200422 yr Hey Stan, Have the Plane, panel and will use the learjet sound, because I don't have the Beechjet, but were do I get the FS Dynamics Config and air files?
February 7, 200422 yr "but were do I get the FS Dynamics Config and air files?"I am wondering about that too, because I neither can find any improved .air and .cfg files for FS9.Jozef http://pluizig.ath.cx/signature.jpg
February 7, 200422 yr See if this link takes you there.http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DownloadID=20017Stan

February 7, 200422 yr Yes.You have the right dynamics package. I gave the United Express CRJ link. MacMan....check out CargoMun's link. That, I believe, is the dynamics fix. Stan
February 8, 200422 yr Thanks CargoMun and Stan, I now got it.Jozef http://pluizig.ath.cx/signature.jpg
