February 8, 200422 yr Hey guys,I was considering purchasing the Cessna 210 from Carenado. It seems like a beautiful aircraft. I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Is it Frame rate friendly? I run on a P4 2.4, 1G RAM, Nvidia 5200 FX 128MB, Windows XP.Thanks,Nick
February 8, 200422 yr Hi,I can only pretty much echo what Dave said. Very beautiful and well done aircraft. Seems pretty frame rate friendly to me. I would think it would run fine on your system. I also say go for it. :)Cheers,Jim
February 8, 200422 yr Externally great. Don't like the 2D panel, VC is OK, the air file needs work and the sounds are all wrong.Allcott
February 8, 200422 yr I liked it a lot ... agree with the sounds! But the rest is an absolute pleasure and I have many hours on a real C210 and I can tell you it handles very realistic.Go fot it!
February 8, 200422 yr Thanks guys for your input. It sounds very promising. Can anyone tell me what's the range like on this aircraft? For the sound, well I can I can just replace them with a freeware package, has any done that?
February 8, 200422 yr The aircraft includes the real performance charts. The range profile shows a zero wind range of just over 1050nm using 45% power @ 8000ft.My only grip with the plane is the fuel flow gauge. The performance charts give pounds per hour, but the gauge reads gallons per hour. Converting the pph to gph, the gauge doesn't read high enough to poperly lean during the clim. For example the cruise clim chart recommends 108pph from sl to 4000 ft, that would equal 18gph, but the gauge tops out at 15.5gph.Other than that I like it. It flies very close to the performance charts.
