February 9, 200422 yr Author LOL!As he said, the best freeware DC3 for FS9 is the default, although if you are willing to support a good cause, there is a really sweet one coming out by the MAAM boys, looks awesome, just check out the MAAM forum here at AVSIM.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VACougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviation[link:www.cgrmthelos.com]Cougar Mountain Helicopters Best, Michael KDFW
February 9, 200422 yr At time of writing, there are about 130 repaints available of the default DC-3. As a default aircaft, it is exceptionally good, and the default panel is exquisite. Casual users often find it hard to work with, however, as it reflects a panel of the 40s which doesn't give you everything you would have today; but there are a number of replacement panels available with more contemporary avionics, mine included. Just search under my name on Avsim for some options. There are also modified flight dynamics and sound available. A good start is www.douglasdc3.com. If you're still hungry for more, go to the Internet's finest VA at www.dc3airways.com for everything you could possibly need to know about flying the DC-3. What's more, our weekly multiplayer sessions see 20 or so DC-3s in the air together which is a sight to behold.Jan Visser's FS2002 aircraft work just fine in FS9 but you will see no props. The new GMAX version for FS9 is in beta testing, however, and is a beauty.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
February 10, 200422 yr Hey Mark. I just read your profile on the DC3 Airways site. It made me laugh out loud. You've had -- I should say you're having -- a very interesting life. (And I'm glad to finally understand your nickname.)RegardsBlairCYOW
