February 9, 200422 yr Hi There,Due to work I have not been able to play FS for many many months. Yesterday I decided to buy FS2004, and thus far very impressed :).In FS2002 if I remember correctly AI traffic would go direct from airport to airport and not use waypoints as with our own created flight plans. In FS2004 is this still the case? Will AI aircraft take off and then assume a direct route to the airport, or do they follow waypoints. I heard the ATC has been improved with IFR flights etc, but I do not know to what level. If not and AI do still fly direct, is there any 3rd party software that simulates this better? Thanks for any help.
February 9, 200422 yr Author Hi,They will fly approach and departure routes as specified by ATC, but then will fly great circle routes between those points.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
