Start Order Q

Featured Replies

Ahh, had a very nice flight last night up the B.C. coast. Almost everything worked seemingly perfectly (one small item - will raise a support ticket once my registration is completed), and the results were awesome.I have a question regarding the start up order. Re the Manual, pg. 13, it says you can start FSX and AS in any order, and I have done it both ways now. My question is, I almost always fly at sim times which are not current (most often I go back a few hours in time). If you load AS2012 first, AS2012 is going to depict the most current wx since FSX is not yet running, is it not? So let's say that you elect to choose a theme pack of your own making, or install the wx-influenced graphics that AS believes to be the best for the situation, that also is going to be based on the current wx that AS is depicting, correct? Assuming yes, here's my dilemma:1) If I load a flight that is occurring several hours previous to the current, will AS2012 immediately update the wx to that sim time period (I do have "Local" and "Sim" times selected in the Options section of the program), or will I need to hit the "Refresh" button to reload the wx correct for the sim time?2) If I try to re-load a theme pack based on the actual wx for the time of flight in the sim (in this example, several hours previous to current) now that FSX is running, will those textures show, as now FSX has loaded all the textures into the sim that it's going to use for the flight as it is now running? And lastly (and somewhat unrelated): 3) Damian and Chris - how do you guys manage to function on no sleep (this may be the most important answer out of the lot for me )?? OK, JK on that one but you have my sincere respect for being here so much of the time for us sleep.png .Thanks very much.

AHHH, yes! Thank you - that's exactly what I need to know. Appreciate the help Wolfgang :).
