December 28, 201114 yr Hi everyone,I've been experiencing this problem since I bought the NGX. On some flights, I have all the sounds fully working (like gpws, TCAS, knobs and switches etc) but in oders they dont work at all, the cockpit is completly mute, altho the engines and other sounds work fine. Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening? I tried re-installing the NGX, and kept the same problem..now I installed the patch 1b and still have the problem. I'm trying to find a pattern on the matter to see If I can find out whats going on, but I can't find anything unusual that could trigger the problem...simply on some flights it works and others it doesnt, sometimes even reloading to other airport can make the sounds start/stop working. re-lauching the FSX doen't help either. I've seen some people complaining of the same thing but in most of cases the sounds didn't work at all in any case.Note: I'm running on a MAC PRO, on boot camp, all other add-ons work fine. I have accel pack with sp2.
December 28, 201114 yr Im trying to solve the same/similar problem. Ive got engine noise coming out my usb headphones but thats all. Now worked outthat cockpit sounds are coming out my normal headphone port. Not sure if this is a fsx issue or an ngx one, but just started today whilst flying the ng. Haven't got a solution myself yet. Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. December 28, 201114 yr Author I've seen someone else with your issue, try searching out for older posts related to cockpit sounds and headphones, i remember the guy got a solution to the problem. I'm not using headphones, just the normal speakers.
January 3, 201214 yr Couldnt find anything on it in the forums but im sure it's there. Probably not an ngx problem but it did happen while i was flying the ngx. Think its more likely just a windows thing. If anyone else gets this, the solution was to uninstall and then reinstall the sound card drivers (realtek on board sound, in this case). I'm back to engine plus cockpit noises on the same channel now - sweet.
