December 29, 201114 yr I currently have a Nvidia GT 530,(with an i7 2600k CPU) my frames are roughly 30 fps in the pmdg 737NGX cockpit. Is it worth me getting an Evga NVIDIA GeForce GTX550Ti? Will this increase my frames? Also, will upgrading my ram from 4gb, to 8gb or 12gb help the frames? Thanks for any replies.

Upgrading your RAM will prevent OOMs if you have a 64-bit Operating system. FSX is CPU hungry.Aaron G. PMDG Boeing 737NGX Captain
December 29, 201114 yr Thanks for the quick reply, what are OOMs may ask?OOM = Out Of MemoryAaron G. PMDG Boeing 737NGX Captain

You can run out of RAM, start having lots of paging / thrashing and still have the application not crash, and you can also have 1000GB of RAM + 64b OS, and run out of virtual memory in a 32 bit application like FSX and have an OOM
