I have made a system copy of my C-drive some time ago.

Now That I want to make a new one I have a problem.

Cannot format the drive because got the message some programs are involved

and I cannot get rid off it.

also overwriting the excisting d-drive will not work.

any idea?

i have 1 terda c and 1 terda d-drive capacity.

Hi,Does your BIOS recognize your new drive?What is the exact message and what exact programs are involved?

hias i said before I already made a systemcopy the first time so it is recognized.the message is that there are programs on it which cannot be removed or formatted.obviously some windows items which came along during backup as systemcopy.anyway i cannot format or overwrite the existing systemcopy on D-drive.
