Due to the current economic situation affecting the airlines during that time forced the CEO into shutting down the airline.Despite what happened a few months ago, founding members of the airline have gotten together and have been in negotiations trying to bring the airline back to life. In a recent interview with CEO Justin Caughenbaugh he stated, “We are very excited to share with everyone the new changes we are bringing forward to the airline, we have made significant changes to management within the airline and we have updated our website to accommodate VAFS 5. This move will certainly push us in the right direction. The airline will be back stronger than ever.”Ohio Express is expecting to become fully operational January 12th 2012. Ohio Express will be accepting application for a limited amount of pilots starting on January 2, 2012.Ohio Express promises to be a unique virtual airline and offer pilots a plethora of opportunities within the airline. “We want to create a fun and engaging environment for everyone,” says Ryan Weeditz Vice President of Operations. “We will be offering different programs to our pilots and reward our pilots in ways other airlines may not necessarily do.
