Advice or a little help

Hello fellow simmers and "Happy New Year"....!So I have two systems and decided to give FSX it's own dedicated 256GB SSD. This is a road I have not traveled down before in system configuration. It sounds easy but every time I say that to myself I end up exhausting a bottle of Advil in pain management...lol I will have windows 7 64bit on a 160GB SSD.So when I install FSX on it's dedicated drive can I just add all programs related to FSX to that drive? Example, TrackIR, UT2, Scenery, etc? Any advice is greatly appreciated... I hope you and your families have a safe and wonderful New Years....! Thanks Again!

WillYes you are correct - you can usually install any software to any drive that you choose, just note the drive and folder the software wants to install itself to and then there is usually a browse option so that you can change the drive and folder to install, say Track IR to the FSX drive. Some software still likes to place some files on the system drive but will install happily on your FSX drive. There may be some exceptions but if you can't install the addon to your FSX drive, you could stop the install and contact the developer and explain the issue or post in the relevant forums.I recently copied my FSX install on its own drive say F: and just copied everything to a new drive. I then named the new drive F: and windows didn't even know that I had done this. But all in all a clean install is best.PeterH
