January 2, 201214 yr With hard drive prices where they are, I would get an SSD. The Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 are the two to beat. Just think of the noise a 10,000 rpm drive is going to make vs an SSD....is it an SSD or a SSD?My English grammar tells me it's an, because s is pronounced "es". Much same like the word hour, you don't say a hour, because it's "aur"... The usage is determined by pronounciation I think. Edited January 2, 201214 yr by Kosta
January 2, 201214 yr Author Depends, if you use the acronym then it's "an SSD" where as if you say it in full it's "a solid state drive" :) Edited January 2, 201214 yr by flymecrazy
