Disappearing autogen during approach

Featured Replies

Recently I had a problem with disappearing autogen during approach on a short flight from Austin Bergstrom to Dallas Love Field Airport. The Autogen did reappear 3 minutes into my go-around. I was flying the PMGD 737-700 right before sunrise with real weather / 15 minutes auto updates. I'm running a Core i7 2600k with HT off, 16GB RAM, GTX 580, and a 240GB SSD. I recently added a few settings to my FSX cfg and I was wondering if one of these settings could have caused the disappearing autogen.AffinityMask=14Fiber_Frame_Time_Fraction=0.1HighMemFix=1

Have you tried deleting FFTF altogether and see if there is an improvement? Or else, set it to its default value of 0.33 and go from there.Chris David

I removed the Affinity Mask = 14 that I inserted earlier from the FSX.cfg file. I think it solved the problem. Is it possible that autogen that disappeared on me was suppose to go to Core 0 when that happened but since I didn't have Core 0 available for FSX with the Affinity Mask = 14 setting the autogen would not display? I also removed the Fiber Frame Time Fraction = 0.1 also because textures were taken longer than I wanted for them to sharpen up sometimes and I noticed a little faster sharpening up of textures without it in the FSX.cfg at the cost of a 20% hit on frame rates with the frame rate limit set to 30.
