February 18, 200422 yr In the past two weeks, Dell replaced the hard drive, memory and CPU to clear a spontaneous and random reboot. Before the repair, the quadrant worked fine. Now I can't get FS9 or FS2002 to recognize it. I loaded the drivers and verified that the folder Elite USB driver FA50 is in the FS9 root directory. I added [OLDMODULES] ELITEFS.dll=1 to fs9.cfg. I have FSUIPC v3. installed and registered . I must be missing something but can't think what it may be. any suggestions?Dell Dimension XPS 1024MB DDR SDRAM at 400MHz,Radeon 9800graphics,200GB HD, Windows XP home sp1
February 18, 200422 yr Forgot to mention I removed all ELITE software including WIBU key and reinstalled with the latest drivers. The hardware device manager had a question mark but after I reloaded the driver that was ok. The "nwe hardware discovered"does not show up. I didn't try a different USB port yet. Should I?
February 19, 200422 yr I wonder if Dell installed the MOBO controller chip drivers for your different peripherals, such as, CPU to GPU controller, USB, and other on-board peripherals. This is the area I would check, since anytime a new install of the OS is made, the drivers need to be installed. WinXP only comes will basic drivers. There was also an USB2 driver update on Microsoft Window's Update site.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
February 19, 200422 yr Thanks, I'll check it out. I have the chipset driver on a resource CD. CH yoke and pedals work OK. I have just uninstalled all ELITE files and folders and will start a fresh install after lunch. Thanks for the input.
